Washington compliance documentation curation
I used the web search and target scraping tools to collect authoritative, up-to-date Washington state resources for LLC and small business compliance documentation curation. Sources included the Washington Secretary of State (corporations and business entity filing pages), Washington Department of Revenue (Business Licensing Service, B&O tax pages), Washington Department of Labor & Industries (workers’ compensation), Washington Employment Security Department (unemployment insurance and Paid Family & Medical Leave), and WA business portal (business.wa.gov).
I extracted key requirements and recommendations including formation documents (Certificate of Formation/Articles of Organization), registered agent rules, annual report filing (due annually at the end of the formation month; fees and penalties for reinstatement), UBI/business license application and fees, state tax obligations (B&O, sales tax/reseller permits), employer obligations (L&I workers’ comp, ESD unemployment and PFML, WA Cares), recordkeeping requirements under RCW 25.15 (required records to keep at principal office: Certificate of Formation, Operating Agreement, member contribution records, tax returns for 3 years, annual reports), foreign qualification, local permits, and a recommended documentation checklist.
For each major point I captured verbatim excerpts and URLs from the authoritative sites.
